JAMES PIAZZA
James Piazza, 90, of Rayland, OH, died, Friday, June 9, 2017 at Trinity West Medical Center, in Steubenville, OH.
Jim was born on December 20, 1926, in Yorkville, OH, to the late Francesco and Rosalie (Pendica) Piazza.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Piazza; a brother, Dominic Piazza and three sisters, Fannie Piazza, Frances Moffo and Rosalie Jackson.
Jim was in the United States Army during WWII; was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and was a member of St Josephs Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by two sons, Jim and Joe Piazza; five daughters, Linda (Scott) Metz, Jeanne (Simon) Carpino, Sue (Lory) Kujawa, Nancy (Jack) Cost and Carol (Dan) Bednar; a sister, Josephine (Austin) Nestor; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Jim and celebrate his life on Monday, June 12th from 3-7 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with a wake service at 6:30 p.m..
Funeral Liturgy with mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH, with Father William Cross officiating.
Full Military Services will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
