James Barbour, 89, of Yorkville, OH, died, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Unit, in Martins Ferry, OH.

Jim was born on November 19, 1928, in Chartiers Township, in Washington, PA, to the late Harry and Helen (Crouch) Barbour.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fernellen (Sims) Diaz Barbour; five brothers, Glenn, Richard, Albert, Rev David Barbour and Harry Colt and a sister, Helen McGlothlin.

Jim was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts; a member of the Yorkville Fire Department, Jr O.U.A.M.Knights of Khorassar, Counsel, Jr Order United American Mechanics, Jr Past Counselor of Martins Ferry, OH and a member of First Presbyterian Church, in Wheeling, WV.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friend will be received to pay tribute to Jim and celebrate his life on Wednesday, Oct 4th from 2-4 and 7-9, at the Borkoski Funeral home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday from the funeral home with reverend Robert Willits officiating.

Burial will follow at Upland Cemeterty, Yorkville, OH.
