Fannie Barcus, of Martins Ferry, OH, died, Sunday September 3, 2017, at Park Health Nursing Home, in St. Clairsville, OH.

She was born on September 7, 1926, in Tiltonsville, OH, to the late Alvin and Elsie (Wilt) Wilson Sr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar and Denton Wilson and two sisters, Wilma Nunley and Leah-Janet Helms.

Fannie was a member of the Martins Ferry Church of God. She lived for the lord and loved singing gospel music.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Edsel Barcus Sr; two sons, Edsel Barcus Jr. and Dale Barcus; a daughter, Karen (Dan) Mitchell; two Brothers, Alvin Wilson Jr. and Richard Wilson; two sisters, Maxine Wilson and Elsie (Clifford) O’Connell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Fannie and celebrate her life on Wednseday, September 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Funeral services will be on Thursday from the funeral home at 11 am with Pastor Earl Border officiating.

Burial will follow at Upland Cemetery.
