Yolonda Popkie

Yolonda Zinni Popkie 95 Passed away, Monday, June 27, 2022, at East Ohio regional hospital.  She was born in Rayland on November 23,1926 to the late Giuseppe and Mary Cianci Zinni.
Affectionally nicknamed Weeland, she loved life especially spending time with her friends and family.
Yolonda was retired as a branch manager for Bank one, served as Rayland’s Village Clerk For several terms, and was a former greeter for Borkoski funeral home in Tiltonsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Seiford Popkie on March 12,1999. Also preceding her in death are two brothers Daniel and his wife Frances Zinni, Valentine and his wife Elsie Zinni and their son James, and two sisters Rose and her husband Fiore D ‘Alfonso, and Edith and her husband Frank Merrelli.
She is survived by her three children, Steve (Christine) Popkie of Mingo Junction, Mary Jo (Dennis) Delbert of Bellaire, and Valerie (Ed) Paulus of Woodsfield. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Elisabeth Popkie, Joshua Popkie, Brittany (Kyle) Przelenski, Michael (Jenny) Paulus, and Justin Delbert.  She had one great grandson James Przelenski and one on the way, Owen Paulus.  Also survived by a special niece, Olivia Merrelli Miller as well as many other dear nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Borkoski Funeral home in Tiltonsville Ohio on Wednesday June 29 from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral Liturgy with Mass is Thursday June 30 at 11 AM at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tiltonsville with Father William Cross officiating and the assistance of Father Dan Heusel. Vigil services are 4p m Wednesday at the funeral home.
