William Lollini Obituary

William, “Bill”, Orlando Lollini, 93, of Tiltonsville, OH, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, in Martins Ferry, OH.

Bill was born on June 26, 1924 in Tiltonsville, OH, to the late Joseph Orlando and Mary (Skied) Lollini.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joe Scherer.

Bill was a 1942 graduate of Warren Consolidated High School. In 1942 Bill entered Ohio State University as an engineering student. He spent the summer of 1943 in the Army Basic Training, with that completed Bill was sent to the Citadel Military Academy to study Engineering for the Army.

In January 1945, Bill was deployed to the European Theater of WWII. He served in France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia.

Bill was discharged May 1946. He later earned a degree in Building Construction Engineering from Chicago Technical College. He then returned home and worked as a Masonry Contractor with his father. He established Lollini & Sons Brick and Stone Business in 1956, retired in 2017. He built many residence and commercial buildings in the Ohio Valley. He was known as an excellent golfer, winning many trophies, also played basketball and football. Bill was a life-long member of the Indian Club, Bricklayers Local #9 and a member of the Belmont Hills Country Club.

Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Alfredda (Brindley) Lollini; two sons, Randy (Mary) Lollini, of Dillonvale, OH and Bill (Sandy) Lollini, of Mt Pleasant, OH; a daughter, Mary Lee (Lollini) Scherer, of Mansfield, OH; a sister, Lena Marie Lollini; a step-son, Evo Levi, of Saline, Michigan nine grandchildren, Randy, Ashley (Lollini) West, Carina (Lollini) Aulicino, Angela (Lollini) Caldwell, Joseph, William Lollini, Brianna, Alysa and August Scherer; five great-grandchildren, August, Gavin, Dylan, Isaac and Magnolia and two life-long employees, Dewayne Meeker and Mark Tomisin.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Bill and celebrate his life on Friday, January 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend Tom Thomas officiating.

Full Military services conducted by the Belmont County Honor Guard will be held at 12:15 at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
