Wanita Thompson

Wanita Thompson, 80, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Liza’s Place, in Wheeling, WV.

She was born on November 18, 1944, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Aurthur and Helen (Sicoski) Imer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Thompson; her daughter, Penny Thompson and several brothers and sisters.

Wanita is survived by her son, Michael Imer; four daughters, Kimberly (Russell) Billingsley; Shawna Thompson, Carrie Thompson and Michelle Thompson; her brother, Kenny Imer; three sisters, Debbie Darrah, Wilma Ruckman and Evelyn Varner; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Wanita and celebrate her life on Friday, June 27th, from 4-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service of 11 am, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Monogioudis officiating.

Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Lansing, OH.
