Vernon T. Liston

Vernon T. Liston, 80, of Tiltonsville, Ohio passed away Wednesday January 26, 2022, at his home. He was born April 19, 1941, in Bridgeport, Ohio to Vernon M. & Vivian F. (Blackwell) Liston. He retired from Wheeling hospital after 47 years of working in the nursing department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and classic Hollywood movies. He was a voracious reader and an avid student of history, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John R. Elson and beloved son Mark A. Liston. He is survived by his wife & soulmate Sandra K. (Hayes) Liston. Three sons: Daniel (Dawn) Liston, Larry Liston and James (Sharon) Liston all of Tiltonsville, Ohio and daughter-in-law Dawn M Liston of Rayland, Ohio. Seven grandchildren: Olivia, Benjamin, Chad, Sarah, Lari, Rebecca, Scott eight great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 3, 2022, from 1 pm until the time of service of 3 pm, at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
