Together Again
Seleka Bell Pickana, 91, formally of Route 250, Harrisville, OH, died, Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Adena Health Care, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 24, 1927, in Wheeling, WV, to the late George and Waneta (Hendershot) Sickle.
In addition to her parents, Seleka was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Nick Pickana; her loving son, Randall Pickana; two sisters, Agnes Bertz and Merle Toscano and two brothers, Robert “Bud” and Foster “Tick” Sickle.
Seleka was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for her loving family and friends. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Harrisville, OH, a member of the Senior Citizen Center of Colerain, Ladies Auxiliary, of Harrisville, OH and a former employee of Scio Pottery.
Seleka is survived by her son, Timothy (Darla) Pickana; her loving grandchildren, Timothy (Jessica) Pickana II, of Aurora, OH, Tynae (Billy) Cermak, of Dillonvale, OH and Kayla Pickana, of Novi, MI; four great-grandchildren, Gage and Brody Cermak and Byrer and Ashur Pickana; a brother, Ralph (Mary Ann) Sickle, of Twinsburg, OH and a loving and caring niece, Patty Zeyer.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Seleka and celebrate her life on Tuesday, March 6th from 11am until the service time of 2 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, OH, with Reverend Barry Hall officiating.
Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
The family would like to thank the staff at Adena Health Care for the wonderful love and compassion given to Seleka. They treated her as one of their own. They all are great caring people!
