Rose Mary Yanda

Rose Mary Yanda, 78, died, Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on October 9, 1942, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Andy and Anna (Pecsek) Shuagis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Bellville.

After raising her children, Rose became a Pharmacy Tech for Walmart. She was a member of The Eastern Stars, Chapter 261.  In her spare time, she loved to sow, make quilts and ceramic crafts for her family and spend the day gardening. Rose also liked to compete, she was an avid bowler and a pitcher for the women’s softball league.

Rose is survived by her husband of 54 years, Fred Yanda SR, of New Matamoras, OH; two sons, Fred Jr, of Gallatin, TN and John Yanda, of Marietta, OH; a sister, Shirley Louk, of Cullen, VA three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Marietta Memorial Hospital, in Four North, Three North and Hospice.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Pastor Jim Monogioudis as celebrant.

Burial was with Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
