Ronnie Marquardt

Ronnie Marquardt, 67, of Rayland, OH, died, Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at his home.
Ronnie was born on December 27, 1951, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Roy and Kathryn (Leach) Marquardt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ronevich.
Ronnie was past President and Vice President of the UMWA Local 1810, a Safety Committee Chairman and a member of the Organizing Committee. He also served on the Mine Rescue, Mine Committee Chairman and COMPAC. Ronnie also served on the State of Ohio Diesel Regulation Committee, and was a former Captain of the Emergency Squad, Former Paramedic and Past Fire Chief for the Tiltonsville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mara (Schuster) Marquardt; two sons, Ari (Jennifer) Marquardt and Nathan (Holly) Marquardt; two grandchildren, Mason and Jase and his two dogs, Maren and Pharoah.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Ronnie and celebrate his life on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at 1 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH until the time of his memorial service of 2 pm, with Father William Cross officiating.
