Ronald “RED” Phillips, 63, of Tiltonsville, OH, died, Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born on January 20, 1957, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Herman and Elberta Phillips.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Hilda Lawrence, Mary Kidman, Margaret Groves and Ruth Ray.
Red was a graduate of Buckeye South Rebels, class of 1976. He was a truckdriver for Reno/Caruso Trucking, Belmont Oil and Pony Express, and eventually was self-employed.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald Phillips II (Jennifer Smith), of Tiltonsville, OH and Brandon Phillips (Kim Zanes), of VA; two brothers, John Liddle, of Eaton Park FL and Frank Savirino, of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Connie Johnson, of Corinth MS and Roma Dailey, of Martins Ferry, OH; a grandson, Brandon Jr and mother of his children and close friend, Harriet (Walters) Phillips.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Friday, January 8, 2021, from 12 pm until the time of service of 3 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Reverend Marvin Schooler officiating.
