Ronald Emerson

Ronald Emerson, 95, of Yorkville, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, peacefully, at his home.

Ron was born on September 28, 1930, in Tiltonsville, OH, to the late John and Irma (Kritz) Emerson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (DeFilippo) Emerson; a brother, Private George R. Emerson and five sisters, Dorothy Moffo, Ethel Edzkowski, Beverly Lester, Thelma George and Velma Kuhn.

Ron retired from AEP as a Human Resources Supervisor in 1993. He was a councilman for the Village of Yorkville for 62 years. He was a member of the Yorkville Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, Jefferson County Democratic Party and Buckeye Boosters. He was a graduate of Warren Consolidated High and belonged to the former St. Lucy Catholic Church and St Joseph Catholic Church. Ron was an avid golfer and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sarah “Sally” (DiNapoli) Emerson; his son, George “Buddy” (Amy) Emerson; three daughters, Angela Davis, Susan (Michael) Kovalick and Charlene (Scott) Kreitzer; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Ron and celebrate his life on Sunday, December 21st, from 2-8 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with a vigil service at 4 pm, with Father William Cross.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass, will be Monday, at 10 am, at St Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH.

Entombment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens.
