Robert Edward “Dink” Horvath, 79, of Dillonvale, OH, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Liza’s Place, in Wheeling, WV.
He was born on August 15, 1941, in Barton, OH, to the late Frank and Julia (Kuhn) Horvath.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Six brothers, Frank, Albert, Ronald, Jim, Jack and Richard Horvath and four sisters, Katherine Clifford, Dorothy Shrieve, Helen Briggs and Betty Mannequin.
Dink’s dream was to play professional baseball. A talent scout for the Cleveland Indians chose Dink for a tryout, however an accident to his arm prevented him from pursuing his dream. He later started a singing ministry show on the AM channel in Grafton, WV. He was a minister and taught the word of the Lord for more than thirty years. He also worked for TWA and owned and operated a bird shop in Hawaii. Dink was a great husband and a devout Christian. He will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley (Richards) Horvath; a son, Paul Horvath; a daughter, Kim Horvath; one granddaughter, Savannah Horvath, all from Las Vegas and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute and celebrate his life on Wednesday, March 10, from 11 am until the time of service of 1 pm, with Reverend James Agnew officiating, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Burial will follow at Holly Memoria Gardens, Colerain, OH.
Mask and social distancing are required at the funeral home.
