Richard “Mr. B” Butler, 71, of Rayland, OH, died, Friday, July 9, 2021, at his home.
He was born on May 7, 1950, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Marshall and Dorothy (Bash) Butler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and john Butler; three sisters, Mary Doughty, Dorothy Means and Emma Proger; two grandchildren, Austin Butler and Sarah Billingsley and a son in-law, John “Meatball” Horvath.
Richard was a graduate of Warren Consolidated High School, where he earned the nick name, “Cannonball” while playing football. He also enjoyed fishing and Hunting.
He is survived by his wife Karen (Oxley) Butler; two sons, Richard Jr. (Bobbie Jo) Butler and Edward (Amber) Oxley; four daughters, Tammy Butler (Jason Bumgardner), Crystal Butler, Jessica Butler and Gloria Oxley; a brother, Kenneth Butler; two sisters, Sally Harris and Grace (John) Meeker; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Richard and celebrate his life on Thursday, July 15th, from 1 pm until the time of services of 5 pm, with Reverend James Agnew officiating, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
