Phyllis Agostini Nameth

Phyllis Agostini Nameth, age 95 of Rayland, OH, passed on Thursday, July 20th at Forest Hill Care Center in St. Clairsville, OH.

She was born on November 16, 1927, in Rayland, OH to the late Sante and Vincenza (Plebani) Agostini.

Phyllis was the beloved wife of Michael Nameth for 73 years and beloved mother of Michael (Karen) Nameth and Randall (Kathleen) Nameth.  She is also survived by two grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Best and Sarah (Russ) Cramer, and three great-grandchildren, Claire and Henry Best and Ava Cramer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Nameth and her three brothers, Geno, Ernest and Sam Agostini and one sister Quindilia Brown.

Phyllis was a retired employee from the nursing team at Eastern Ohio Regional Hospital (EORH) in Martins Ferry, OH.  She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiltonsville, OH where she served as a greeter for over 20 years.  She was also a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Society and the Catholic Women’s Club.

In recent years, Phyllis lived at the Beacon House where she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and attending church services with her friends.  She always enjoyed holiday gatherings with family and friends throughout the years.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Phyllis and celebrate her life on Friday, July 28th, from 10am until 11:30 am, at Borkoski Funeral Home in Tiltonsville, OH,

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, at 12 pm, with Father William Cross officiating.

 Internment, will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH.

Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Meals on Wheels, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
