Peggy Joice Ryan

Peggy Joice Ryan, 90, of Adena, OH, died, Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Gables Care Center, in Hopedale, OH.

She was born on August 16, 1930, in Moundsville, WV, to the late Paul and Ethel (Ray) Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ryan; two daughters, Kay Johnson and Sandra Rose Gump; two brothers, Paul and Ron Williams; one sister, Imogene Williams Mc Connell and five sons-in law, Ed Johnson, Jim Bero, Peter Zucco, Samuel Heater and Don Ulrey.

Peggy was a member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry and the Hopedale Church of Christ. She also belonged to the Pine Valley Sportsman Club. Peggy loved to sew and crochet, she was a wonderful seamstress. Peggy also enjoyed square dancing. Peggy loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Sharon) Ryan; five daughters, Connie (John) Hajny, Debra Diane Heater, Debbie (Chip) Zucco-Wood, Dawn Bero (Adam Vitale) and Barbara Ryan; brother in-law, Willis (Vera) Mohney; sister in-law, Mandy Mohney; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her cat, Cat.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Peggy and celebrate her life on Sunday, February 7th from 2-7 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Funeral services will be Monday 11 am from the funeral home, with Pastor Rod Kasler officiating.

Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.

Mask and social distancing are required at the funeral home.
