Linda (Meeker) Young

Linda Darlene (Meeker) Young, 63, of Rayland, OH, died, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at UPMC, in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on January 7, 1958, in Wheeling, WV, to the late Howard and Dolly (Thornton) Meeker Sr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Stephen “Steve” Young; son, Travis Young; four brothers, William, Howard, Carl and Greg Meeker; brother in-law, Tom Cline and sister in-law, Jenny Meeker.

 Linda was a graduate of Buckeye Local School District. She worked at Harts, Big Bear and Lowes throughout her career. She was a dedicated volunteer for Smithfield Food Pantry for over ten years and was a member of Yorkville VFW, St. Clairsville Eagles and the Weirton Moose. Linda will be greatly missed!

She is survived by her brother, Randy (Nancy) Meeker; two sisters, Doris (Mike) Newman and Cindy Cline; two sisters in-law, Barb Meeker and Carrie Seitz; six grandchildren, Travis Jr and Taylor Young, Courtney Bonar, Kristen and Makayla Faulkner and Dakota Young; two great-grandchildren, Malayiah and Kaliyah Bonar and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Linda and celebrate her life on Sunday, March 7th from 4-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and on Monday from 4-8. Funeral Service will be Tuesday 11 am at the funeral home, with Reverend James Agnew officiating.

Mask and social distancing are required at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
