Leslie J. “Moose” Moffo, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, OH, died, Monday, December 17, 2018, at Cleveland Clinic.
He was born on January 2, 1949, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Settemio and Jennie (Slivinski) Moffo.
Leslie served in the United Sates Army during Vietnam, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart; he was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union # 1223; he was a past Fire Chief for the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, for Treasurer for the Pleasant Valley Sportsman Club, a member of the VFW, Yorkville; owner/ operator of the Outdoor Corner, and was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to cook for everybody.
Leslie is survived by his loving wife, Charlene (Dombrowski) Moffo; two daughters, Holly Moffo and Heather Shields and three grandchildren, Alexa Shields, Logan Shields and Ziair Jones.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Leslie and celebrate his life on Friday, December 21st, from 2-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with a wake service at 4:00 with Father William Cross.
Funeral Liturgy with mass will be on Saturday at 10 am, at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, Yorkville, OH., with William Cross officiating.
Burial will follow with full Military Services will at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW, Yorkville, OH, in Leslie’s name.
