Johnny Borsos

“Johnny Ray” Borsos, 74, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025, at Belmont Manor Nursing Facility, St. Clairsville, OH.

He was born on September 17, 1951, in Dearborn, Michigan. 

He was preceded in death by Roy and Elizabeth Bell; two brothers, Richard Bell, of Georgia and Charles Bell, of Dillonvale, OH and his sister, Rose Mary Fetty, of Tiltonsville, OH.

 He attended W.C.H.S. in Tiltonsville, OH. After graduation, he went to work at W.P.S.C., in Martins Ferry, OH. He retired after 40 years of service. He enjoyed playing cornhole and shuffleboard. He was a member of the Polish Club, Eagles and Italian American Club, all organizations located in Martins Ferry.

Johnny Ray is survived by two sisters, Carol Popp, of Rayland, OH and Patricia Moorehead, of Martins Ferry, OH; four nieces and six nephews.

Private services are being held at the convenience of the family at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Johhny moved through the world with a rare and gentile light. His sweet spirit and pure heart touched our family in ways we will carry forever. As an uncle he was one of the most gracious kind-hearted people we’ve ever known, though life was not always easy for him, his kindness never wavered. He lived with a child-like innocence and a loving soul, surrounded and protected by sisters who loved him. Rest in peace Uncle Johnny. You will truly be missed.
