John Ragase Obituary
John R. Ragase, 78, formerly of Rayland, OH, died, Friday, July 9, 2021, at Sunrise Assisted living of Upper St. Clair, in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born on December 11, 1942, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Earl and Helen (Levendosky) Ragase.
John was a graduate of Warren Consolidated High School. He attended Ohio University in Athens, OH, where he earned his Electrical Engineering degree. John was a lifetime member of the IEEE and was retired from Duquene Light.
John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nora J. (Finney) Ragase, of Upper St. Clair, PA; two brothers, Earl A. (Mary Ann) Ragase, of Frederick, MD and Brian L. Ragase, of Wheeling, WV; a nephew, Aaro M. Ragase, of SC; a niece, Jennifer (John) Moberly, of Frederick, MD; three great nieces, Claire, Meghan and Madelyn Moberly and several cousins.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to John and celebrate his life on Friday, July 16th, from 2-4 & 6-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday 10 am, from St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH, with Father William Cross officiating.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
