John F Orban

John F. Orban, 93, of Tiltonsville, OH, died, Saturday, November 28, 2020, at his home.

He was born on July 10, 1927, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Vincent and Mary (Holzophel) Orban.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent Orban and sister-in-law Nancy.

John was a graduate of Yorkville, High School. He served in The United States Navy, a member of the VFW and was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville, OH. John was an avid bowler and golfer. He truly loved all sports. He and his wife enjoyed going to the casino and playing the machines.

John was a devoted husband to his wife, Etta, for 74 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. His smile would light up a room. He will be greatly missed!

In addition to his wife, Etta Mae (Evans) Orban, he is survived by three sons, Gary (Kathy) Orban, of Martins Ferry, OH, Brett Orban, of Martins Ferry, OH and John (Peggy) Orban Jr, of Port Orange FL; three sisters, Bertha Crossland, of Tiltonsville, OH, Jean Orban, of Denver, COL and Agnes Magnone, of Martins Ferry, OH; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Private services were entrusted with Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
