John Michael “Snuffy” McKeegan, 81, passed away peacefully June 26, 2023, at the Park Health Center.
He was a resident of Brilliant and formerly of Rose Ave., Tiltonsville and Cambridge, Ohio. He was born on April 1, 1942, the son of the late John and Elizabeth (D’Agostino) McKeegan.
Snuffy had many talents including running McKeegan Construction and Trucking with his brother Jim. But he was best known for his dry wall finishing in the Tri-State area. He also managed Enchanted Florist with his loving wife Sharon in Cambridge. He enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets and was an avid eBay trader of Vintage radios and radio tubes. He was a veteran of the United States Marines.
He is preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his paternal grandparents James and Rose McKeegan, maternal grandparents Joseph and Rose D’Agostino, and his step grandchildren Corey and Devon Kovalski.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon (Pratt) McKeegan, his daughter Jodi McKeegan of Colby, Washington, son Mike (Joyce) McKeegan of Mt. Pleasant, step daughter Courtney (Mike) Orr of Johnstown, Ohio, step sons Brian (Billie Jo) Malechowski of Delaware, Ohio, Joe (Kim) Malechowski of Tiltonsville, step grand son Michael (Jenn) Kovalski of Mt. Pleasant, step granddaughters Emma, Sophie, & Anna Malechowski, step grandson Noah and Alex Malechowski, granddaughters Gina (Christian) Shadbolt, and Christina (John) Notsch, great granddaughter Olivia Notsch, brothers Jim (Debbie) McKeegan of Yorkville, Joe (Cheryl) of Rayland, and Jeff (Susan) of Wintersville, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and second cousins.
Snuffy’ s greatest gift was his everlasting love for his family. There was nothing more important to him in life than family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 1 from 11:00 to 4:00 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 337 Jefferson St., Tiltonsville, Ohio with services immediately following with the Rev. Jim Monogaudis presiding.
