John Krupinski Obituary

John R. Krupinski, 84, of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away on January 10, 2023, at the Lancia Villa Vista Nursing Home in Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born on November 7, 1938, in Adena, OH, the first son of the late John J. and Wanda L (Kubinski) Krupinski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette (Goodman) Krupinski, and Brothers Joseph and James "Jake."

John is a 1956 graduate of Adena High School where he was a standout outfielder and prominent hitter for the Golden Wave baseball team which caught the eye of the Pittsburgh Pirates and when his tryout didn't pan out, he joined the Marine Corps. Upon completion of basic training at Parris Island SC and Camp Lejeune NC, he would spend the balance of his 2-year active duty as an MP at the Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk VA.

John was retired from ODOT where he started as a truck driver, was promoted to foreman at the Dillonvale outpost and later a Wintersville outpost dispatcher.

He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Tiltonsville and its St Francis Society and the Yorkville Knights of Columbus. As a member of St Casimir parish in Adena he was a member of the choir and served as a cantor. His love of people and music propelled him to perform in many Adena Lions Club Minstrels. His love of baseball and all sports led him to coach little league. He was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. John was a member of PERI retirees, the Indian Club, and he loved playing cards with his brothers and buddies.

John is survived by brothers Jerry (Eileen) of Steubenville and Sam (Alicia) of Adena. Also surviving to cherish his memory are stepdaughters, Sydney Hobson,

Mona Logue, and Marla Moreland, six step granddaughters, 7 great granddaughters, and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to celebrate John's life on Friday, January 13th from 4-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and from 9 am until the service time of 10am at St Casimir Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday January 14th at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena, with Monsignor John Kolesar as the
