Joseph A. “Joey” Gaudio, 83, of Yorkville, OH, died, Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Ohio Valley Medical Center, in Wheeling, WV.
Joey was born on November 16, 1934, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Antonio and Lena (Scaglioni) Gaudio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and James Gaudio and a sister, Shirley Gaudio.
Joey was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of the Indian Club, in Tiltonsville, OH, the Cultural Club, of Wintersville, OH and the VFW, of Yorkville, OH.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia “Honey” (Ayoub) Gaudio; two sons, Dino (Maureen)Gaudio, of Charlotte, NC, and Derek (Suzie) Gaudio, of Columbus, OH; a brother, Albert (Sara) Gaudio; four grandchildren, Kaylan(Chad), Vinny (Amanda), Alyssa and Olivia; two great-grandchildren, Giavanna and Gabriella and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Joey and celebrate his life on Monday from 2-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at St Lucy’s Catholic Church, Yorkville, OH, with Father William Cross officiating.
Burial Will follow at Upland Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Shadyside Health Care and special niece, Toni, for the wonderful care given to Joey.
