Jerry Valenti, 85, of Rayland, OH, passed away, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Liza’s Place, in Wheeling, WV.
He was born on June 27, 1938, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late John and Evelyn (Briggs) Valenti.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Valenti; stepson, Richard McKean; brother in-law, Robert Ryan and nephew, Rick Ryan and.
Jerry served in the United Staes Navy. He retired from Local Laborers Union #809. He was a Fourth Degree Member of The Knights of Columbus, a member of The Indian Club and St Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH.
Jerry is survived by his two sons, Scott (Kim) Valenti and Mark Valenti (Claudia Captor); his daughter, Kimberly Valenti DelaCruz; two sisters, Patricia Ryan and Sandra (Vince) Talarico; a sister in-law, Linda Krone; brother in-law, Larry (Dorcas) Deitch; four grandchildren, Cory (Brittan) Kenny, Scott Valenti Jr, Nicole Valenti and Brianna (Andrew) Leyba; step granddaughters, Erika (Bryce) Sztary and Deirdre Lutz; step and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Jerry and celebrate his life on Sunday, May 5th, from 2-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with a vigil service at 4 pm. With Father William Cross.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Monday, 9:30 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH, with Father William Cross.
Full Military Services will be conducted by the Belmont County Honor Guard, graveside at Upland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Valley Hospice, in Jerry’s name.
