James R. (Jim) Maderia, 76, of Wilkesville, Ohio, formally of Rayland, Ohio, entered into the Joys of Heaven on Saturday September 3rd, 2022.
He was born on September 11, 1945, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late John and Martha Jane (Moore) Maderia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Janis V. Maderia. Jim served his country in the United States Air Force and was deployed to Vietnam. He was employed by AEP, and retired from the Cardinal plant in Brilliant, Ohio, in 2004. In 1998, Jim was chosen to play in the musical “Hosanna”, at the Fort Steuben Arena in Steubenville. He is survived by his children, Amy (Randy) Jeffers, Susan (David) Meeks, and Jim Maderia (Loriane Perry); His grandchildren, Bryan (Kristen) Jeffers, Christopher Jeffers (Amanda McMullen), David Meeks, Katelyn (Christian) Cronin, and Conner (Hanna) Maderia; Great grandchildren Adeline and Audrey Jeffers, Hazel Grace Cronin, and Wyatt and Ella Maderia; his siblings, John (Ada) Maderia, Larry (Susan)f Maderia, and Ed (Denise) Maderia; Brothers-in-law Greg Brown, Rocky (Donna) Brown, Sisters-in-law Tracy Brown and Donna Brown, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Meadowbrook Church of God in Rayland, Ohio, on Saturday September 24th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Meadowbrook Church of God, or the American Heart Association.
