George Nemeth, 77, of Yorkville, OH, died, Monday, April 30, 2018, at his home.
He was born on September 8, 1940 in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late George and Josephine (Costello) Nemeth.
George was a retired History Teacher, basketball coach and athletic director for Buckeye Local School District; a Lector at St. Josephs Catholic Church and former manager of the Rayland Dairy Queen.
George is survived by his wife, Marge (Vargo) Nemeth; a son, Gregory (Elizabeth) Nemeth, of Westerville, OH; two daughters, Charlene (Bradly) Hughes, of Rayland, OH and Cheryl (Jeffrey) Roman, of Shadyside, OH, a brother, Gregory (Michele) Nemeth, of Rayland, OH; four grandchildren, Bradley and Alexa Hughes and Rachel and Sara Roman and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to George and celebrate his life on Wednesday, May 2nd from 4-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with a wake service at 4:45.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be on Thursday at 11 am from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father William Cross officiating.
Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
