Georgia Hanna Obituary

Georgia Hanna, 85, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Wheeling Hospital WVU Medicine.

She was born May 26, 1938, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late George and Rose (Wallce) McKinney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Ronald Hanna and three brothers, Eugene, Tommy and John McKinney.

Georgia attended Martins Ferry High School. After High School she served in the United States Army Reserves. She worked at Picoma, the News Register and was a cosmetologist. Ultimately, she found her calling as a caregiver for Medi-Home Health. Georgia was a hard worker, and in her spare time she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Romney and Rodney Hanna; seven grandchildren, Lori (Russell) Hanna- Bancroft, Dawn Hanna, Jaime (Jerome) Green, Mindy Hanna, Georgia (David) Baker, George Hanna and Shayla (Zach) Toppeto; a special cousin, Agnes (Danny) Bell; 20 great-grandchildren and nine, great-great- grandchildren.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Georgia and celebrate her life on Thursday, March 7th, from 2 pm until the time of memorial services of 4:30 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Pastor Jim Monogioudis officiating.
