Gary Klika,63, of Tiltonsville, OH, was called to the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born on July 1, 1957, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Andy and Alexandria “AL” (Tolonese) Klika Jr.
Gary graduated from Buckeye South High School and eventually retired from Buckeye Local School District as a bus driver, with 30 years of tenor.
Gary was an avid Buckeye Local Fan and attended games of all sports. He was a proud member of the Buckeye Local Touchdown Club. He also loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame.
Gary really enjoyed going out for coffee with a group of guys every week. He treasured their friendship.
Gary never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sister, Shari (John) Rowan, of Shadyside, OH; his aunts, Carm Tolonese, Eleanor Pflugh and Carolyn Tolonese; cousins and his “four-legged” nephews, Buddy and Champ.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Gary and celebrate his life on Thursday, Feb 4th from 2-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with vigil services at 4:30.
Funeral, Liturgy with Mass will be Friday, 10 am, from St Joseph Catholic Church, with Father William Cross and Father Dan Heisel officiating.
Burial will follow at Upland Heights Cemetery.
Mask and social distancing will be enforced at the funeral home.
