Etta Mae Orban, 93, of Tiltonsville, OH, died, Monday, December 7, 2020, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on September 3, 1927, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late James and Elizabeth (Starr) Evans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 74 years, John Orban and her sister, Josephine Evans.
Etta was a member of the Tiltonsville Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Yorkville High School and was a cheerleader for the 1945 State Championship Basketball Team. She worked at Kavage Bros. Grocery, Tommy’s M&K and the Hickory Pit Restaurant. Etta loved OSU football and basketball and enjoyed watching all pro basketball games. She and John enjoyed going to the casino and playing the machines.
She is survived by three sons, Gary (Kathy) Orban, Brett Orban and John (Peggy) Orban JR; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Etta was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. However, Etta Mae and John are together forever.
Private services were entrusted with Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
