Ethel Marcella Edzkowski

Ethel Marcella Edzkowski 95 of Tiltonsville, Ohio passed away Sunday December 25, 2022, at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.

She was born on July 18, 1927, to the late John and Irma (Kritz) Emerson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Edzkowski, a son, Joseph A Edzkowski, a grandson Joseph Eric Edzkowski, a brother, George (Buddy) Emerson, three sisters, Dorothy Moffo, Beverly Lester, and Velma Kuhn.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Edzkowski of Fl, her son Jeff (Lauren) Edzkowski of Rayland, a daughter in law Linda Edzkowski of Fl, two grandsons, Matthew Edzkowski of Fl, Jeffrey (Amy) Edzkowski of Dublin, Ohio, a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Edzkowski of Dublin, Ohio, a brother Ron (Sally) Emerson of Yorkville, Ohio, and a sister Thelma George of Wadsworth, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews and she dearly loved them all.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church Tiltonsville, Ohio where she had been a member of Catholic Daughters and St Vincent Helping Hands. She and her husband were involved in the RCIA and were members of the Baptism Team and various other committees through the years. She also assisted with the many dinners held by the church. Ethel was a great cook and loved hosting dinners for her family. She never missed a performance or ballgame that her children and grandchildren participated in and held many offices in the PTA and band mothers when her children were in school.

She was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, The Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Ethel’s family would like to thank the nurses and CNA’s at EORH and the nurses from Amedisys Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care they provided for her.

Family and Friends will be received Thursday, Dec29 from 4-8 pm at the   Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio, with a vigil service at 4:30, with Father William Cross.

 Funeral Liturgy with Massl will be Fri Dec 30, at 11:00 am, at St Joseph Catholic Church Tiltonsville, Ohio. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
