Erna (Ernie) Lore Eissner Kurucz, 86, Rayland, OH, died, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Sienna Hills Nursing Home, Adena, OH.
She was born on October 17, 1931, in Stuttgart, Germany, a daughter of the late Karl and Pauline (Ritz) Eissner, Germany.
Erna was a homemaker, and a lifetime member and past president of the VFW Post 4811 Auxiliary and was Presbyterian by faith. She was so proud to become a U.S. citizen on September 17, 1985.
She was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as AMU.
Erna is survived among who loved and cherished her dearly, her husband of 66 years, Joseph Kurucz, of Rayland, who she married on March 29, 1952, in Germany; her sons, Ronald (Brenda) and Steven Kurucz, of Rayland; grandchildren, Krista (Ryan) Blackwell, of St. Clairsville, Jarred (Kaylie), of Wintersville; great-grandchildren, Adam and Avery Blackwell and a brother, Helmut Eissner, of Germany.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Erna and celebrate her life on Friday, August 31st from 5-8 pm at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10 am from the funeral home with Pastor Cindy Foster officiating. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Valley Hospice, Rayland, (Ellen) and Sienna Hills staff for their caring and loving support to Erna and her family.
