Elsie J Mackey

Elsie J Mackey, 89, of St. Clairsville, OH, died, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Belmont Manor, in St. Clairsville, OH.

Elsie was born on November 27, 1930, in Rayland, OH, to the late Ernest and Sylvia Lovell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Mackey; four brothers, Harry Hill, Ernie, Melvin and Sonny Lovell; two sisters, Helen Baker Supinski and Ruth Lovell; a great nephew, Franco Motto and a special friend, June Vargo.

Elsie was a waitress at Don’s Drive Inn and Stone & Thomas Tea Room. She loved spending time in the outdoors, especially camping and boating. Elsie lived life fiercely and possessed an excellent work ethic.   She was the last of seven siblings and loved her nieces and nephews to the fullest. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two nieces, Karen Motto and Debbie Lovell Infante; three nephews, Gary, Joe and Mark Lovell; a sister-in law, Irene Lovell; ten great-nieces and nephews, eight great-great nieces and nephews and five great-great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Belmont Manor for their wonderful care of Elsie.

Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted with Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, Rayland, OH and Rayland United Methodist Church, in Elsie’s name.
