Edward Keith Kachur, 62, of Dillonvale, OH, died, Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, in Martins Ferry, OH.
Edward was born on October 31, 1956, in Wheeling, WV, to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Hicks) Kachur.
Edward was a 1975 graduate of Buckeye South; he worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant, for 36 years, and his current employment was at JSW Steel, in Mingo Junction, OH. Edward was a member of the USWA Local 1223; a member and Past Worthy President of Martins Ferry Eagles, Arie 456, and was a member of the 300 Liberty Club.
Edward was a man that never knew a stranger, and his wife often referred to him as her social butterfly. Edward was an avid lover of all sports, but his favorite pastime was to play golf. Above all however was his greatest passion, which was his love for his family, especially his two grandchildren.
Edward is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joyce (Trigg) Kachur; a son, Edward (Andrea) Kachur Jr; two daughters, Kaela (Mark Clutter) and Megan (Herbert Jackson); a sister, Mary Bertubin, and two grandchildren, Tessah Zeroski and Easton Clutter.
Friends and family will pay tribute to Edward and celebrate his life on Sunday, January 13th from 2-8pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am from the funeral home, with Monsignor John Kolesar officiating.
