Douglas Dougan, 62, of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born on January 20, 1959, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late John “Jack” and Edna (Daughterty) Dugan.
Doug was a graduate of Buckeye South. After high school he served in The United Sates Navy. He was currently employed with JSW Steel, in Mingo Junction, OH. Doug was also the current Fire Chief for Tiltonsville VFD. He was a former member of Glen Robbins and Rayland fire departments, with a total of 49 years of service. When Doug wasn’t fighting fires, he loved spending time with his two grandchildren, Emma and Owen.
In addition to his grandchildren, he survived by his wife, Peg (Bakosh) Dugan; a step daughter, Megan (Erik) Potkoski; a step son, Ryan Stewart; two brothers, Greg (Karen) Dugan and Pat (Debbie) Dugan and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Doug and celebrate his life on Sunday, June 20th from 2-8 at The Tiltonsville Volunteer Fire Department with Full Fire Fighters Services at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 10 am, from the fire department, with Pastors David Demarest and Gary Zalenski officiating.
