Dorothy Rector

Dorothy Marie Work Rector, 91, of St Clairsville, OH, died, Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Forest Hills Nursing Home.

Dorothy was born on January 22, 1927, in Adena, OH, to the late Joseph and Martha (Gow) Work.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband 57 years, Richard V. Rector Sr.

Dorothy was a member of the Mt. Pleasant First Presbyterian Church where she served as trustee and Elder and was a member of the Westminster Auxiliary and Choir. She has been a member of the LaBelle Chapter #414 Order of Eastern Star for over 40 years. She enjoyed many years and derived great pleasure in working in her flower-beds, gardening and camping.

Dorothy is survived by her two children, a son, Richard (Linda) V. Rector Jr, of Martins Ferry, OH; a daughter, Francine (Michael) Kasper, of St. Clairsville, OH; a brother, Joseph Work Jr; a sister, Mary Agnes Roski; five grandchildren, Eric (Kayla) Rector, Jeffrey (Beth) Rector, E.J. (Heather) Rector-Dixon, Victoria (Brett) McLean and Michael Kasper (Mallory Carpenter); great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Dorothy and celebrate her life on Friday, March 9th, from 11 am until the time of service of 2 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant, OH, with Reverend Lorraine Dill as celebrant.
