Dominic J. (III) Morando

Dominic J. Morando III (D.J.), 63, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, formerly of Yorkville, Ohio, passed away at home on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Dominic was born on December 8, 1962, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was the son of Edith (Jones) Morando of Yorkville, Ohio, and the late Dominic J. Morando Jr.

Dominic was a loyal employee of Freeport Press, where he dedicated nearly 27 years of service. He was a member of the Buckeye South High School Class of 1981 in Tiltonsville, Ohio. Outside of work, he was a movie buff who enjoyed watching films and had a passion for drawing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Austin Morando.

Dominic is survived by his spouse, Laurie (Jarman) Morando and his daughter, Shannon Morando of Tiltonsville, Ohio; his mother, Edith (Jones) Morando of Yorkville, Ohio; two sisters, Laura Morando of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Tracy Morando of Yorkville, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces; Morgan McFadden, Lynne (jarman) Mikusi, Courtney (Jarman) Marr, Rachel Jarman, a nephew Steven Woodford, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his work and the simple things he enjoyed in life, and he will be deeply missed by his family and Friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Dominic will be cremated and no public services will be held.
