Delores E. George, 93, of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away, Monday, December 27, 2021, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, in Martins Ferry, OH, with her family by her side.
She was born October 11, 1928, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Joseph and Mary (Klein) Bazar Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Lefty" George; eight brothers, Charles, Raymond, Thomas, Joseph, Frank, Donald, George and William Bazar and four sisters, Mary Shemenski, Goldie Gray, Violet Padglek and Helen Doughty.
Delores was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She belonged to St Joseph Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of America. Delores’s true passion was her family. She loved to cook and bake for them and was an outstanding seamstress. Above all, she was the perfect example of loving unconditionally, and generously shared her infinite wisdom and guidance. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration to others. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and completed hundreds of puzzles in more recent years. Delores was loved by all; those who knew her, thought of her as an angel on earth. She will be greatly missed.
Delores is survived by three daughters, Judy (Randy) Gaudio, Jacqueline (Frank) Hinkle and June (Darin) Meeker; four sons, Carl (Krystine) George, Jerry (Anna) George, Steve George (Dianne Savage) and Tommy (LeAnne) George; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; beloved caretaker, Louann Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Delores and celebrate her life on Sunday, January 2nd, from 2-8 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Vigil Services at 4 pm, with Father William Cross.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Monday, Jan 3rd, 10 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Delores’ name.
Interment will be held at Upland Cemetery.
