David Allan Proger, 76, of Connorville, OH, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on January 7, 1943, the son of the late Nancy (Mowrey) Proger Ella and Tony Proger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lance Starcher.
He was a retired steel worker, employed at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel for 38 years. He
enjoyed playing Euchre, cat-fishing, his 1951 Mercury and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Anna (Bachmann) Proger; two daughters, MaryAnn (Red) Beveridge of Rayland and Lynn (Doug) Thomas of Tennessee; a son, David (JoAnne) Proger Jr. of Connorville; three grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Buck, Audrey Thomas and Douglas
(Kaylee) Thomas; 5 great-grandchildren, Julia, Emily, Natalie, Anthony and Matthew; siblings,
Lana Kennedy, Lonnie (Mabel) Starcher, Luck (Rose) Starcher, and Kevin (Nancy) Starcher; an uncle Paul (Lola) Mowrey.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 19th from 11am until the time of service of 1pm, at the Borkoski Funeral home, Tiltonsville, OH, with full military services at 1:45, with the Belmont County Veterans Association.
