Clarence “Clem” Wayte, 91, of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away, Friday, October 7, 2022, at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born on April 19, 1931, to the late Laurence and Rosella (Barcus) Wayte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy (Mantica) Wayte; two brothers, Laurence and Howard Wayte and a sister, Wanda Haines.
Clem served in the US Air Force from 1949 through 1952 and was Staff Sargent during the Berlin Air Lift. He was a member of the American Legion Post 153 and belonged to the Indian Club, in Tiltonsville, OH. He served He served as secretary of the General Board of Directors of New Co-Operative Co INC. He was Warren Township Clerk of 12 years. He was a member of F&M Lodge 486, Royal Arch Mason, Chapter 173, Royal Select Mason, Council 2, Commandery Hope # 26Knights Templar and Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville.
Clem is survived by his siter in-law Nettie (Mantica) Grant and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Clem and celebrate his life on Saturday, October 15th, from 11 am until the time of service of 1 pm, with Pastor Jim Monogioudis officiating at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Full Military services will be conducted at 12:45 by the Belmont County Honor Guard.
