Clara A. Zackey

Clara A. Zackey, 96, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away, Monday, June 9, 2025, at Valley Hospice, Trinity West, in Steubenville, OH.

Clara was born February 20, 1929, in Tiltonsville, OH, to the late Andrew Sr. and Julia (Bartok) Sliday.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis N.  Zackey; her son, Louis P. Zackey; her brother, Andrew Sliday Jr. and her sister, Margaret Rose.

Clara worked in administration for Nickels Bakery for many years. She enjoyed collecting antiques and going to auctions and estate sales. Clara loved to shop and go out to lunch at different restaurants. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.

Clara is survived by her daughters, Sally (Jerry) Ford and Susan (Robert) Starr; daughter in-law, Jenine Zackey; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Clara and celebrate her life on Thursday, June 19th, from 4-7, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with a Vigil service at 4:15, with Father Thomas Chillog.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Friday, 11 am, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, OH.

Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain Oh.
