Clara A Swiger

Clara A. Swiger, age 78, of Mentor (formerly of Tiltonsville), passed away peacefully
surrounded by her family on Friday, July 5, 2019 following a courageous thirty-three-
year battle with Renal Cell Cancer.  Beneficent to and beloved by all who knew her,
Clara faced the trials of life with strength, dignity and grace.  A devoted mother,
successful insurance agent and co-owner of a furniture and appliance company, Clara
leaves behind six children: Edward M. Swiger Jr., Michael A. Swiger (Susan), Dr. Frank
J. Swiger (Lauren), David A. Swiger (Kathy), Sandee Wade (Marvin) and Bonnie Riehl
(Bob); seven grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in
death by her husband: Edward M. Swiger Sr.; father: Frank D’Andrea, her mother:
Victoria (Filippi) D’Andrea and her two brothers: Vince and Raymond D’Andrea. 
The family will receive friends from 2-6PM on Tuesday, July 9th at the Brunner Sanden
Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor,
Ohio 44060. 
Calling hours will also be held in Tiltonsville on Thursday, July 11th from 11-2PM at the
Borkoski Funeral Home located at 337 Jefferson Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio 43963.  A
Funeral Service will be held at the Borkoski Funeral Home at 2PM followed immediately
by an interment service at the Upland Heights Cemetery.
