Charlotte J. Berze

Charlotte J. Berze, 83, of Yorkville, OH, passed away, Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, in Wheeling, WV.

Charlotte was born on February 26, 1942, in Glen Robbins, OH, to the late James and Margaret (Kalman) Vargo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Berze.

Charlotte worked at East Ohio Regional Hospital for over ten years as a Medical Transcriber. In her free time, she loved listening to John Denver’s music. Most importantly, Charlotte was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed!

Charlotte is survived by her son, James (Paula) Berze; her daughter, Lee Anne Vargo (Eddie Wakulchik); her sister, Marjorie Nemeth; a sister in-law, Carla Wagner; three granddaughters, Allie and Abbey Berze and Annie Vargo, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Charlotte and celebrate her life on Wednesday, April 9th, from 3-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 am, from the funeral home, with Reverend Tom Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, OH.
