Charles Bowles, 75, of Rayland, OH, died, Monday, July 23, 201 at his home.
Chuck was born on August 22, 1942, in Toronto, OH, to the late Alva and Clara (Waggner) Bowles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Bowles and infant granddaughter, Haven Cianne Nelson.
Chuck was retired from the Army Corps of engineers, he served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War, receiving the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, VSM and other Medals; he was a member of the DAV, VFW and the Sentinels Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Nelson) Bowles; a son, Denny (Danielle) Nelson; a daughter, Carrielle (Tom) Galloway; Two brothers, Charles and Ralph Brown; five sisters, Betty Flegal, Lillian McVey, Diane Weglake, Polly Shannon and Missy Firm and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Tommy, Chaz and Aubrielle Galloway and Hailee, Denvar and Davin Nelson.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Chuck and celebrate his life on Thursday, July 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, at 11 am, at the funeral home, with Reverend Marvin Schooler officiating.
Full Military Honors will be conducted at Upland Cemetery by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
