Carol E. Kakos

Carol E. Kakos, 84, of Rayland, OH, passed away, Monday, August 1, 2022, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, in Martins Ferry, OH.

She was born on June 25, 1938, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late James and Janet (Mc Murtrie) Santonas.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Kakos and infant son Kurt.

Carol is survived by three daughters, Stephany (Ed) Swart, Stacy (Mark) Wise and Starla (Raymond) Wezik; three sisters, Marsha (Regis) Woods, Diane (Ron) Cunningham and Sheila (Steve) Edgehouse; five grandchildren, Philip and Elizabeth Swart, Ashley (Tony) Burdette, Cody (Kierston) Archer and Zoe Wezik; two great-grandchildren, Kaylin and Rowan Burdette; special friends, Dick and Donna Fisher; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Maurice.

A memorial service will be held for Angelo and carol Kakos, on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Services will be 11 am, from the Yorkville Methodist Church, with Jim Monogioudis officiating. Masonic services will be held from the church, with Martins Ferry Lodge #486. Full Military services will be held graveside, at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, OH, with the Belmont Honor Guard. A celebration of their lives will follow at the Yorkville Methodist Church Hall.
