Barbara Sue Freese

Barbara Sue Freese, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, OH, passed away, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Wheeling Hospital, with her family holding her tight and surrounded her with as much love as she gave to them.

She was such an amazing, beautiful, selfless and kind person.

She loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, gardening and shopping.

She retired from Kroger in Martins Ferry, Ohio.

Barbara was born April 24, 1952, in Steubenville, OH.

She is survived by her four children, Michelle (Michael) Doyle, Melinda (David) Burkhart, Eric (Carrie) Freese and Scott Freese; five grandchildren, Clayton, Logan, Lexi, Abby and Catie; many special nieces and nephews and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her former husband, Harry Freese, sister, Sandy and brothers, Larry and Mike.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Barbara and celebrate her life on Monday, May 19th, from 2pm- 8pm and on Tuesday from 10m am until the time of service of 11 am, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Pastor Jim Monogioudis officiating.

Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and caregivers that took care of her, in her long battle. She was strong and gave a tough fight. The family felt blessed to have been a part of her life.
