Antonette Marie Hesske

Antonette Marie (Yachini) Hesske, 89 of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away peacefully at Continuing Healthcare at Forest Hill in St. Clairsville, OH on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Antonette was born on January 16, 1932 in Steubenville, OH.  She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Monfred) Yachini of Follansbee, WV.

In addition to her parents, Antonette was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hesske, sisters Marie Quatrocchi, Josephine Santora, Yolanda White, Esther Zadzilko, JoAnn Capriotti, Jacqueline Rowing and brothers Robert and Anthony Yachini of Follansbee, WV.

She is survived by her two daughters Michele of Tiltonsville, OH and Charlene Wyant and son-in-law Alan of Sumter, SC, sister-in-law Geraldine Hesske, many nieces and nephews and beloved family pets, Winston and Riley.

Antonette was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiltonsville, OH and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church while growing up in Follansbee.  She was a graduate of Follansbee High School and loved to talk about her marching band and majorette days while attending high school.  Antonette was a dedicated employee of The East Ohio Regional Hospital Laboratory as a Lab Aide and retired from the hospital after 30 years of faithful service.  

After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her daughters, son-in-law, sisters, brothers and close friends.  She loved cooking and talking on the phone. Antonette was a selfless wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law and friend to many and called to check on their well being everyday.  She lovingly called her sister-in-law Geraldine Hesske to see if she needed anything and talk about past family memories.   

Due to Covid-19, there will be no services or visitation. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Borkoski Funeral in Tiltonsville, OH.
