Anna (Bachmann) Proger, 80, of Connorville, OH, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Emerald Pointe Nursing Home, in Barnesville, OH.
She was born on January 30, 1941, in Sangerberg, Czechoslovakia, to the late Erwin and Johanna (Popperl) Bachmann.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Franz Bachmann and a sister, Freida Bachmann.
Ann married Dave Proger, in Kitzingen, Germany, on December 28, 1961. She was a devoted wife to Dave for 58 years until his passing in 2019. She was a homemaker and an “Avon Lady” for many years. Anna was an excellent cook, (Though she always made a point to say that she couldn’t bake) and an avid gardener. She loved working in the garden and there was nothing she couldn’t grow. She enjoyed going to car shows with Dave, watching westerns and horror movies and spending time with family.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Red) Beveridge, of Rayland, OH and Lynn (Doug) Thomas, of TN; a son, David (Joanne) Proger Jr, of Connorville; three grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Buck, Audrey Thomas ands Douglas (Kaylee) Thomas; six great-grandchildren, Julia, Emma, Natalie and Anthony Buck and Matthew and Daniel Thomas; a sister, Maria Jasmin, of Fla and a brother Josef (Fanny) Bachmann, of Germany.
Private services are entrusted with Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
