Stanley “Curley” Joseph Boroski Sr., 82, of Rayland, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV.
He was born in Dillonvale, Ohio on March 15, 1936, a son of the late Stanley Bolick and Mary Ann Kubick Boroski.
Stanley was retired from IBEW Local 141 of Wheeling, West Virginia, served in the United States Air Force, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, the proudest Rays fan, and a master carpenter in his own rite. He was known to his family as their Superman: a man who could do anything, who could fix anything, who was always there – without fail – for those he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Webster; infant grandson, Stanley Ross Boroski; and his granddaughter, Brittney Kubyako Allen.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 57 years, Marylee “Rusty” Zeakes Boroski; his six children, Lisa Schmidtke of Tiltonsville, OH, Stanley J. (Carol) Boroski, Jr. of St. Cloud, FL, Christopher (Tammy) Boroski of Leesburg, FL, Jill Boroski of Martins Ferry, OH, Marilee Boroski of Pataskala, OH, and Anyta McVeigh of Canal Winchester, OH; his precious grandchildren, Sarah Rose Boroski, Chainey Boroski, Olivia McVeigh, Clayton Boroski, and Steven Kubyako; his brother, Richard “Remo” (Sharon) Boroski of Spokane, WA; sister, Phyllis “Jean” (Joe) Merkel of Lexington, VA; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 337 Jefferson St., Tiltonsville, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Tiltonsville, Ohio with Most Reverend William Cross as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
