Patricia “Tiger” Chesmar, 70, of Tiltonsville, OH, died, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at her home in Tiltonsville, OH.
She was born on July 26, 1948 in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late William and Mary (Bonnell) Cominsky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Stanley “Mutt”, Thomas “Maynard”, Robert “Turk”, James “Hippo”, Bill and infant, Steven Cominsky; two sisters, Mary Ann “Myrtle” Barcus and Carol “Goger” Wilt.
Patty was retired from the Times Leader; she was a former coach for Warren Township Softball and played softball for “Big Red” in the Barnesville Softball League through her 60’s and was a member of the Auxiliary Piedmont Fishing Club.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Chesmar; two daughters, Melissa (Doug) Bennington and Michelle (Ben) Scott; a brother, David “Duke” (Susan) Cominsky; four sisters, Betty “Beechie” Jarman, Kathie Leonard, Christine “Mable” (Frank) Blinco and Vickie (John) Garan; four grandchildren, Tiffany and Heather Travis and Kyle and John “ J.T.” Bennington and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Patty and celebrate her life on Thursday, December 27th, from 2-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 am from the funeral home, with Elder Garland Freeman officiating.
Burial will follow at Upland Cemetery, Rayland, OH.
